Greenbrier Challenge

In 2007 the Greenbrier Challenge will include a UCI sanctioned race to provide opportunities for Pro Riders from many countries to capture UCI Points to gain starting positions at races, to qualify for their Olympic team, and to help gain more starting slots for the U.S. at the 2008 Olympics!

Whole Foods ‘Gear Up for Bike to Work Day’ Event

We’ll be out at the P street whole foods from 1 to 5 on Saturday, April 14th helping do bike checkups to make sure people are ready for Bike to Work Day. Stop by to meet the team and have us give you bike a quick safety check.  Here’s the scoop on the event from Whole Foods:

Gear Up for Bike to Work Day  Saturday, April 14  1pm to 5pm   We’re partnering up with local cycling organizations City Bikes (http://citybikes.com/index.cfm), WABA (http://waba.org/), and MORE (http://www.more-mtb.org) and MINT (www.mintfitness.com) to make sure you are bike ready this spring. Bring your bike to P Street for a basic tune up and learn more about the safest ways to get around the city and our diverse network of parks and trails.

It’s almost the first Monday of the month so it’s meeting time…  see you all Monday (3/5) at 7:30 at temperance hall.

We’re almost got the art for the jersey finalized, so there’s a chance to change your order.  We’ve got some stuff to talk about this time like the new “club” membership level and a couple of new sponsors (on top of the new ones from the last meeting).

I’ll bring the last couple of leftover jersey’s from last year so that any new members planning to race next weekend will have a jersey.  if you are planning to head up to camp Hilbert next weekend and need a jersey, let me know and tell me what size you need and we’ll try to get you one (or at least a loaner).

Time’s flying by and once again it’s time for our monthy team meeting.  In addition to discussing plans for the year, sponsorship, and plotting some new endevours (team fundraiser anyone?) we’ll have sizing samples of jerseys, shorts, and jackets so you can make sure you’ve got what you need for the year in a size that fits you right.
