Greenbrier AMBC Mountain Bike Race
So the first big mountain bike race of the season is on the books. There were 11 City Bikes team members who came out to give their best shots in their respective classes. Resident fast boys Evan, Kent, and Chris contested in Expert; Pooch and I suffered in Singlespeed; big boy Gwadzilla juggernaut-ed in the Clyde class; Matty, Klas, and Mike scrapped in Sport (ages 30-34); Dave duked it out in Sport as well (ages 40-44); and last but not least, Tris tussled in the Sport women category.
Evan, Gwadz, and Tris podiumed with their fine performances, walking away with prizes and medals. Everyone’s results are posted here. Congrats all!
Team co-captain JoeF, on a forced hiatus from his bike, still came up to the race to shoot some pictures. Look for writeups from the racers both here and on their respective blogs.
Up next? The 12 Hours of Lodi on May 7, starting at midnight! Quite a few of the team members are planning to make a showing. See you there!
